Players and Their Partners in Runway Show at The Fillmore Philadelphia, Presented by Marrone Law Firm

PHILADELPHIA (PRWEB) November 08, 2019 — Fashion meets football for the sixth annual Fashion Touchdown runway show, as Philadelphia Eagles players and their significant others strut the runway in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence (BBBS Independence). For the first time, the Philadelphia Eagles will be an official event partner, providing performances by the Eagles cheerleaders, team mascot Swoop, the Philadelphia Eagles Pep Band, as well as Eagles “experiences” for attendees to win. Together, these community-minded athletes and organizations bring their star power to raise awareness and crucial funds needed to support BBBS Independence’s mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. The event is the agency’s largest fundraiser.

Philadelphia Eagles players will showcase custom-made suits from Eagles starting safety and team co-captain Malcolm Jenkins’ clothing line, Damari Savile. Trading in helmets and jerseys for bespoke suits and bowties, players participating in this year’s event include current players Malcolm Jenkins, Rodney McLeod, Jalen Mills, Vinny Curry, Kamu Gruger-Hill, and former star players Connor Barwin, Jason Avant, Todd Herremans and A.J. Feeley. The player’s significant others will be dressed by the iconic Joan Shepp, recognized as Philadelphia’s premier fashion connoisseur, specializing in showcasing avant-garde women’s clothing from local and international designers at her Center City concept store.

The evening will open with a high energy performance by Eagles cheerleaders, Swoop, and the Eagles Pep Band. FOX 29 Good Day Philadelphia co-anchors, Mike Jerrick and Alex Holley, will host the event and emcee the star-studded fashion show. New this year, four BBBS Independence mentoring matches will walk the runway in what is sure to be an emotional highlight of the evening.

This exciting night of football, fashion, and philanthropy will kick off with a VIP pre-party, featuring cocktails, light bites, and trendy pop-up shops, and will conclude with an after party also at The Fillmore. Event-goers also have the opportunity to win exceptional experiences, including a private dinner with Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, a trip to Paris Fashion Week including flight and accommodations, a round of golf and private lunch for two with Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson and former star Eagles player Brent Celek, and a custom suit experience with Malcolm Jenkins.

Hair styling will be provided by Image Studios 360, makeup by beauty giant Anastasia Beverly Hills, and men’s grooming by DAPR Grooming Parlour.

This year’s event, presented by Marrone Law Firm, LLC, will take place on Monday, November 18, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. at The Fillmore Philadelphia. The VIP cocktail hour begins at 5:30 p.m.

“I hold a special place in my heart for Big Brothers Big Sisters and the incredibly impactful and important work they do for so many young people. I hope that my involvement with this event for the last three years inspires others to get involved to make a difference,” said Joseph M. Marrone, Esquire, founder of Marrone Law Firm, LLC and governing board member of BBBS Independence.

“At Big Brothers Big Sisters, we build relationships that ignite the power and promise of our youth. We walk with our youth, instead of walking away, and we have proven for over 100 years that we improve educational success, self-confidence, future aspirations, and avoidance of risky behaviors. We provide opportunities that break generational cycles of poverty,” said Marcus Allen, CEO of BBBS Independence. Allen added, “We set goals with our Littles, setting them on a path of accountability and success. The funds that we raise at Fashion Touchdown go directly to support our youth mentoring programs. We are grateful to have the entire Eagles organization on board this year and Eagles players and their partners supporting us in this effort, and we are thrilled to partner with Marrone Law Firm for the third consecutive year to make it all happen. This event ensures we realize our vision: that together, we are co-conspirators of change.”
